We now work from a purpose-built space in Bayswater North, a short drive down Maroondah Highway, built for the kind of paint protection film work that needs a clean, controlled environment to be done right.
Paint protection film is a clear urethane layer that takes stone chips, road rash and light scratches so your paint does not have to. We assess the paint first and tell you honestly what it needs. The panels are washed, decontaminated and, where it helps, lightly corrected so the film goes over clean paint rather than sealing marks in. The film is then cut to your car, set panel by panel, and left to cure before we inspect every edge. Same standard whether it is the smallest job or a full body wrap.

Good film should not. Yellowing was a problem with older films and it is what most people are remembering when they ask. Modern film carries a manufacturer warranty covering yellowing, cracking and lifting, and if a panel does fail it gets stripped and re-laid rather than patched. Lifting at an edge is usually an install issue rather than a film issue, which is why the edges and how far the film is wrapped into the panel are worth asking any installer about before you book.
Yes, and it is a common one around Ringwood. Plenty of owners get their tint done locally and then find the shop that did it does not install paint protection film. They are different trades. Tint is glass work done from the inside, film is paint work done from the outside, and they need different tooling, a different space and a different set of hands. The two do not interfere with each other, so having tint already fitted changes nothing about how the film goes on. We are happy to quote the film on its own, and if you want a ceramic coating over the top later that still works.
