Film is clear, so whatever is in the paint when the film goes down stays visible and is locked in until the film comes off. Swirl marks from automatic car washes are the usual culprit and they are exactly what shows through. We wash, decontaminate and then correct the paint on the panels being covered, so the finish under the film is the best that paint is going to look. If a car turns up already ceramic coated, the coating has to come off the panels getting film first, because film will not bond properly through it.
